25 Years Serving the Small Payload Community

2023 Symposium

The 2023 Small Payload Ride Share Symposium

The 25th SPRSA annual Small Payload Ride Share Symposium will hosted by NASA Ames ion the 13th, 14th, 1ne 15th of June this year. The event will be live with no virtual participation.

The theme for this year's Symposium is, "Developing a Space Transportation Logistics Mindset". Fundamentally, what are the pros and cons of moving from a mission unique, R&D mindset to an operational transportation/logistics mindset for routine operational missions? As always, we will consider these questions in the context of both the larger and smaller launch vehicles from the perspectives of the government and commercial industry.

The recent efforts toward the development of a Multi Manifest Design Specification (MMDS) and the pursuit of standards and commonality remain key components of shifting to a more operational mindset.  Following the end of the Symposium at noon on Thursday, there will be a MMDS User’s Group (MUG) meeting for those interested in continuing to mature this document.

The MMDS User’s Group (MUG) meeting will be held Thursday Afternoon from approximately 1:30 to 4:30.
